About Waymark.

Small-batch specialty coffee from Austin, TX.

Every bag fully traceable, every roast dialed in.

// Our Story

How Waymark started.

I fell in love with coffee in college, where a local shop introduced me to specialty coffee and the community around it. When I started brewing at home, I realized how many variables go into a single cup. That pulled me into roasting, where I found even more to obsess over. What I've come to appreciate is that every person along the chain, from the farmer to the roaster to the barista, has to take real care to get the best out of each coffee. That's what Waymark is all about.

Waymark is how I do my part in that chain. We source single-origin coffees with full traceability, then dial in every roast to bring out the complex flavors already in the bean. Every bag tells you where it came from, who grew it, and what to expect in the cup.

I started Waymark to source great coffee, roast it to its full potential, and give people the complete picture of where it came from.

// Our Sourcing

Sourced with intention.

Quality isn't an accident. It comes from skill, intention, and often generations of knowledge passed down through families. When farmers are paid fairly and consistently, they invest in better practices instead of chasing volume. Coffee producers work hard on each lot they produce. That's why we work hard to ensure we get the best out of each coffee we buy.

Founder & Head Roaster

I'm an engineer by background. I've worked on software, hardware, and computer systems. Coffee turned out to be one of the most interesting and complex problems I've found. It's biology, chemistry, terroir, craft, and engineering all compressed into a single cup. I roast every batch personally, and I'm always chasing a better expression of each coffee.
